Collebrity – Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: Nov 12, 2025
Last Updated: Nov 12, 2025

Collebrity is committed to maintaining a seamless and fair experience for both brands and creators. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, wallet credits, and partial payouts work across Storefront services and Campaign bookings.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

  • Storefront service bookings
  • Campaign bookings
  • Wallet refunds and partial payouts
  • Creator acceptance, cancellation, and ghosting scenarios
  • Subscription plan cancellation rules (non-refundable after renewal)
  • Platform or processing fees related to transactions

2. Wallet-Based Refund System

All refunds on Collebrity are processed exclusively to the Collebrity Wallet. Wallet credits can be reused anytime for future creator collaborations. When brands withdraw wallet balance to their bank account, a 5% withdrawal fee applies.

Why we do not refund to original payment methods

Refunds to original payment sources (cards, UPI, bank accounts, etc.) are not supported because payment gateways do not return their processing fees once a transaction is completed.

This means if we refunded to your bank:

  • You would permanently lose 2–3% due to non-refundable gateway charges
  • The refund you receive would be less than what you originally paid

To protect you from this loss, Collebrity refunds 100% of your money to your Collebrity Wallet.

Wallet refunds offer:

  • ✔ Full amount returned with zero deductions
  • ✔ Instant credit (no 3–7 day bank delays)
  • ✔ Flexibility to reuse funds for future bookings

This ensures you always retain the entire value of your payment.

3. Order Acceptance & Auto-Cancellation

When a brand submits an order:

3.1 Acceptance Window
Creators have 72 hours to accept the order. If the creator does not accept within 72 hours → Order auto-cancels and 100% refund goes to the wallet.

3.2 Creator Ghosting
If a creator accepts but becomes unresponsive or does not take action: Collebrity will intervene. If confirmed ghosting → 100% refund issued to the brand’s wallet. Creators who ghost may face internal penalties.

4. Brand-Initiated Cancellations

4.1 Before Creator Accepts

  • 100% refund to wallet
  • No commission deducted
  • No payout to creator

4.2 After Creator Accepts (Work Not Started)
Collebrity reviews the case. Refund is usually 90–100% depending on context. Platform commission may apply based on brand tier.

4.3 After Creator Has Started Work
(Examples: discussions started, drafts shared, concept reviewed). A partial payment goes to the creator. Collebrity deducts platform commission based on brand tier. Remaining amount refunded to the brand’s wallet.

Brand Tier Commission
Free Brands - Moon Plan 15%
Tier 2 - Sun Plan 10% or ₹1000 + 7% — whichever is lower
Tier 1 - Star Plan 7% or ₹500 + 3% — whichever is lower

The commission is applied only on the creator’s earned amount, not the entire order value.

4.4 Unreasonable Cancellations
(Unclear reasons, sudden brand withdrawal, change of mind). Collebrity will ensure the creator receives a fair partial payment. Platform commission applies as per tier. Remaining amount refunded to wallet.

5. Creators Canceling Orders

  • 100% refund to brand’s wallet
  • Creator receives no payout
  • Creator reputation & internal trust score will be impacted

6. Dispute Handling

Both brands and creators can raise a dispute if they believe the collaboration did not go as agreed.

A dispute may be opened for reasons such as:

From Brands:

  • Creator did not deliver the content
  • Work does not match the brief
  • Delivery is significantly delayed
  • Content quality is unacceptable

From Creators:

  • Brand is asking for deliverables outside the agreed scope
  • Brand is unresponsive or not providing required inputs
  • Brand is refusing to approve or release payment after delivery
  • Brand cancels unfairly after work has started

How disputes are handled

  • Collebrity’s internal team conducts a manual, unbiased review
  • Evidence is required from both sides (chat history, drafts, files, timestamps, etc.)
  • Collebrity evaluates based on guidelines, proof of work, timelines, and communication
  • A decision is made regarding: Full refund / Partial refund / Partial payout / Full payout

Final Decision
Collebrity’s decision is final and binding. Our goal is always to remain fair, neutral, and transparent for both parties.

7. Campaign Cancellation Rules

Campaigns follow the same structure, with one difference: refunds depend on how many creators have accepted.

  • For creators who accepted but haven’t started → Full rollback + 100% refund
  • For creators who started work → Partial payments apply per creator

8. Subscription Refunds

Brand subscription plans are non-refundable after renewal.

Here’s why:

  • Collebrity offers a fully functional free plan with unlimited access to explore creators, browse niches, view analytics samples, and test nearly all features.
  • We encourage brands to use the free plan for as long as they need before deciding to upgrade.
  • This ensures brands understand the value of paid features before subscribing.
  • Once a subscription renews, the platform commits resources (analytics access, chat upgrades, API usage, visibility boosts) — making the subscription non-refundable.

Subscription Cancellation Rules

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • The plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle
  • After expiry, the account will automatically revert to the base free plan
  • Wallet withdrawals still carry a 5% withdrawal fee

9. Region-Specific Compliance

Collebrity designs its policies to remain consistent with the general principles of major global consumer and marketplace guidelines, including:

  • India: Consumer Protection (E-commerce) best-practice principles; RBI guidelines relating to wallet-based refund flows
  • United States: FTC recommendations for fair marketplace practices; clear refund and cancellation disclosures
  • European Union: Digital service norms where the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to creator marketplace bookings

These references are for general alignment, and all refunds are ultimately governed by Collebrity’s internal policy as described above.

10. Final Notes

  • Collebrity’s priority is to protect both creators and brands with a fair and transparent system.
  • Repeated cancellations or misuse of refunds may lead to account limitations.
  • Collebrity may request additional evidence or documentation before processing refunds.
